Kravice Waterfall
Only 40 kilometers from Mostar, according to many, lies the most beautiful natural attraction in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This is the Kravice Waterfall on the Trebižat River. Considered one of the most picturesque places in Bosnia, this waterfall boasts impressive dimensions, standing at an incredible 28 meters in height and 120 meters in width. A large number of tourists visit Bosnia and Herzegovina every year specifically to see this gift of nature. Once, mills operated at this location, but although they no longer exist, there are plenty of other things to see and do when you reach Kravice. A special experience is visiting at night, when the waterfall is bathed in lights. Of course, you can swim in the water, and you can also bring rubber boats and canoes to paddle along the river. This means that the area surrounding the waterfall is ideal for day trips and spending the whole day in nature. It seems that the natural landscapes and cities of Bosnia and Herzegovina are appealing to filmmakers, as this is where the cult Yugoslav film "Orlovi rano lete" ("Early Eagles Fly") from 1966 was filmed. Nearby the waterfall, there are restaurants, cafes, and a large parking area, as well as a cave that you can visit on your way to Kravice.
Since it is a very significant attraction, which ranks high on the list of the most famous waterfalls in Bosnia, the Kravice Waterfall is very well-maintained and preserved. Therefore, it is necessary to pay an entrance fee to fully access the waterfall and enjoy its beauty. The ticket price is 4 KM, which is not much considering what awaits you after the ticket booth. If you fall in love with this fairytale area to the extent that you want to stay longer than a day, that is more than possible. Not far from the waterfall, there is a camping area, as well as villas where you can rent a room.
